LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A boy from western Kentucky diagnosed with cancer is putting other children first proving he's a giver.

Lance Meredith, 7, was diagnosed with a rare form of Hodgkin's Lymphoma and is now in remission. Over the last few months, Meredith has collected stuff animals for other children who are also going through procedures in hospitals.

On Saturday, Meredith stopped at the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Louisville to give out the hundreds of stuffed animals. Many of the toys were purchased by Meredith's fundraising

"It's just one of those things we wanted to do what we could do to give back and help a little bit, a little way as much as they've helped us," said Mary Meredith, Lance's mother.

Lat summer, he also donated more than a hundred stuffed animals to Norton Children's Hospital.
