LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 79-year-old man missing from southern Jefferson County was found Wednesday by a tree cutting company in Bullitt County.

Lynn Murray was last seen in the 5400 block of Pendleton Road around 11 a.m. on Monday. That's near the Jefferson County - Bullitt County line.

Murray has Alzheimer's, according to police. The tree cutting company, Wright Tree Service, spotted him in the area of Weavers Run and contacted local authorities.

"All I know from the tree company is that they were up working as you can see terrain up here and spotting and they were already aware that he was missing," Shawn Herron, with Louisville Metro Emergency Management Agency, said. "Some of the volunteers had more contact with them earlier and as a result, they made the connection very quickly that this was probably the missing individual."

His wife came to the scene and he was rescued.

"We have the best neighbors out here. Thank you to everyone who helped search for him," Murray's wife said.

Murray was taken to a local hospital but his condition is unknown at this time.

"I want to echo Mrs. Murray's gratitude and extend my thanks to everyone involved in the search," Metro Councilor Cindi Fowler said. "A special acknowledgement goes to Shawn Herron with Louisville Metro Emergency Management Agency for leading the efforts. We're so relieved Mr. Murray was found in such a timely manner."
