LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A Bullitt County Constable has pleaded guilty to several drug charges. Forty-three-year-old Clifton Hudson entered a guilty plea to trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
He was arrested on May 28 for selling heroin to a confidential informant.
Hudson also pleaded guilty to charges dating from 2010 and 2012, involving selling prescription painkillers and cocaine possession. Hudson was sentenced to five years on the prior drug charges and another five years of probation on the more recent charges.Â
Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway said in a news release, "Clifton Hudson has betrayed the trust of those who elected him to office, and he has jeopardized public safety and health by selling illicit drugs. I am pleased that he will be off of the streets and behind bars."
Hudson resigned on Tuesday from his Constable's position. He also agree to pay a $1,000 fine along with $3,135 to the Springfield Police Department's Drug Fund to pay the expense of its investigation.
