LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The woman accused of shooting and killing her two sons at their Bullitt County home was once a Louisville business owner.
WDRB News interviewed Tiffanie Lucas in 2016 when she had just opened Ms. Tiff's One Stop Shop, a convenience store on West Broadway. She spoke about the impact as a young entrepreneur of Walmart pulling out of plans to open a store in the area.
"A lot of people don't make their way down here, but if there's a Walmart, you know, you come out of the woodworks for Walmart," Lucas said at the time. "So, probably would have brought a lot of people to, you know, stop and check us out."
Business records show the store closed in 2017. According to court records, she pleaded guilty to drug charges a year later and was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

There's no criminal record for Lucas between 2018 and her arrest last week when she was charged with killing her two young sons — 6-year-old Maurice Baker Jr. and 9-year-old Jayden Howard — at their home on Bentwood Drive in Bullitt County last week.
Family members told WDRB News on Tuesday that they've cleaned out the home she was renting. They said it was filthy, with the utilities turned off and an eviction notice on the counter.
The day after her arrest, a judge set Lucas' bond at $2 million for the two murder charges. She appeared in court again on Tuesday for a hearing.
