LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Bullitt County high school teacher resigned during a district investigation over possible "inappropriate" relationships with former students on a school baseball team.

Bullitt County Public Schools started investigating newly hired North Bullitt High School special education teacher Meagan Larson over the summer break. On July 8, the superintendent suspended her with pay.

A letter the superintendent sent to Larson informed her there was an allegation that she had inappropriate relationships and communication with students on the school's baseball team.

On July 30, she was reassigned to the central office pending the outcome of the investigation. But she then resigned Aug. 12.

The investigative findings said a report was made to CPS, "resulting in a determination that the case did not meet criteria for further action because all parties reportedly involved were of legal, consenting age." The findings also said local police were contacted and "there were no grounds for criminal charges between consenting adults."

The district investigator, "attempted to contact each individual named in the investigation, all of whom were of legal age and recent graduates. Not all were willing to participate in the investigation and those who did participate did not provide any factual evidence to indicate any current BCPS students were involved or at risk. The participating individuals denied any physical interaction with Ms. Larson."

Some staff and students did talk to the school investigators and said Larson attended football and baseball games and cooked for the athletes. They said she would make baked goods and protein balls for the athletes.

A student that was interviewed said Larson was "real touchy with people" and would try to get close to them and "rub up against them."

The student said Larson would do stretches in front of people and she was texting them and ended up blocking her due to "being weird."

Larson also shared a video about how she liked to be choked, according to the student.

The investigative findings said, "Amidst the investigation, the teacher resigned her position. With no further leads, no evidence or involvement of current students... the investigation was suspended."

Hillview Police said the case was investigated and the detective talked to a former student who admitted to the sexual relationship, saying it took place after the student graduated and he's an adult. Because of that, Hillview Police said there are no criminal charges.

Police said their investigation found only one former student was involved. WDRB Investigates spoke to Larson over the phone but she had no comment.

Troy Wood, the chief operations office for BCPS said in a statement, "The district remains committed to the safety and well-being of all students and staff and will continue to take appropriate action should any new information come to light."
