LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Lisa Cummings, a Bullitt County resident, experienced a heartwarming moment at the Zoneton Fire Department’s annual awards banquet.
Back in November, Cummings suffered a heart attack. First responders Wayne Mosely, Travis Riley, Kevin Carpenter, and Tyler Barrow acted fast and initially treated her with CPR before EMS arrived.
Then Bullitt County EMS crews continued the basic CPR, began advanced treatment and achieved Return of Spontaneous Circulation (ROSC) and took her to the hospital.
The banquet gave Cummings her first chance to thank Zoneton Fire in person, with her mother joining her in expressing gratitude.
Firefighters were also recognized for their efforts following the UPS plane crash, showcasing the bravery and dedication of local first responders.
