LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One person was injured in a partial roof collapse Monday morning at the Bally's Casino in Evansville.

According to WEVV, police responded to the scene just before 9 a.m. when a car apparently drove off the parking garage and went through the roof of the hotel conference center.

Evansville police said the driver, who was taken to the hospital, was the only person injured. Sgt. Trudy Day said it is still an active investigation.

"We're not sure if it was a medical issue or what the man was experiencing," Day said. "We just know one injury, and he did leave the top of the parking garage."

Police said all hotel and casino employees are accounted for.

Authorities said in addition to the partial roof collapse, the damage included a large water leak.

Bally's issued a statement about its investigation into what happened.

"We are currently investigating an incident involving a vehicle that drove off the 7th floor of our parking garage and will provide updates as necessary. Upon initial review, the incident appears to be the result of driver error. There are no signage or structural issues with the parking garage. The safety of our guests and staff remains our top priority," said Bally's spokesperson.
