LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two Louisville landmarks were voted into the top 10 of the Best Attractions for Sports Fans by Readers' Choice Awards from USA Today.
The Kentucky Derby Museum ranked third in the vote, while the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory ranked fifth.Â
"Congratulations to the Kentucky Derby Museum and Louisville Slugger Museum on making USA Today’s 10Best list of top attractions for sports fans in America," Mayor Craig Greenberg said in a news release Wednesday. "Your commitment to providing engaging and unforgettable experiences draws visitors from around the world and elevates Louisville’s reputation as one of America’s great sports cities."
The Kentucky Derby Museum shows all the rich tradition around the Kentucky Derby. Located next to Churchill Downs, it shares stories of the Kentucky Derby with interactive exhibits. The museum has opened five new exhibits this year.

The baseball museum on Main Street features a 120-foot tall baseball bat that weighs 68,000 pounds. Visitors can see iconic baseball memorabilia and various exhibits.Â
Over the past few years, the historic museum and factory completed a number of transformations, including a renovated gallery, an expansion of its event space and a new bourbon blending attraction.
