LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Apple CEO Tim Cook stopped in Kentucky last week to visit a retail store and tour the Corning plant that will manufacture glass for Apple products.

Cook stopped by the Apple Store at Fritz Farm, and posted a picture on social media with the employees.

Cook said he was glad to spend time with the team and customers as the company gets ready for a big week ahead.

Pre-orders for the latest iPhones and other Apple devices started Sept. 12. They're scheduled to be released on Sept. 19.

Cook also visited the Corning plant in Harrodsburg, Ky., which will manufacture all the cover glass for iPhone and Apple Watch.
