LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new bagel shop is coming to a busy corner in downtown Louisville.
According to our partners at Louisville Business First, Barry Bagels is set to open its third Louisville location at 4th and Market streets this fall.
The 500-square-foot store will offer 17 varieties of fresh bagels along with homemade soups and sandwiches. Barry Bagels is family-owned and has had the the same recipe for 54 years.
The space in downtown Louisville previously housed a convenience store, and developers said it'll cost $50,000 to renovate.
"We immediately started working with Bill after hearing he was interested in the brand," franchisee Brian Lewis said. "After touring the place, seeing the character of the building and the traffic and pedestrian flows it made sense to keep checking out. Then, hearing the plans the city has to pump money Downtown to create more of a community feel with commercial to residential conversions it made sense in the long-term to go forward."
Barry Bagels also has locations in St. Matthews and Norton Commons.
