LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — New details have emerged about a Veteran Affairs clinic planned for Elizabethtown.

Construction is set to begin in this winter with an opening planned for spring or summer 2027.

A Dallas-based developer said the VA awarded it the contract for a 62,000 square-foot facility on Pear Orchard Road off Ring Road.

Elizabethtown City Council approved rezoning for the project last week.

The clinic will offer primary care, radiology, mental health, physical therapy and other specialized services.

Developers said the project will bring up to 150 jobs and more than $400,000 a year in property tax revenue. More importantly, it will give the region’s large veteran population better access to care close to home.
