Cook Out plans renovation of former Rally's location on Preston Highway in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A popular restaurant chain is finally "lighting the grill" toward building after purchasing a Louisville property more than two years ago.

According to our partners at Louisville Business First, Cook Out has filed a construction permit, to renovate the former Rally’s location at 2412 Preston Highway, near Eastern Parkway.

Plans call for renovation of the existing restaurant, but it is not known when construction will begin or when the North Carolina-based fast food restaurant will open.

The chain has 12 Kentucky locations, the closest one to Louisville is in Frankfort, featuring barbecue, burgers, hot dogs, milkshakes and floats.
