LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new hot dog restaurant, Derby Dogs, has opened at 1285 Bardstown Road in Louisville’s Highlands neighborhood.
The restaurant, run by husband-and-wife team Diahanna and Wayne Bui, takes over the space formerly occupied by Joy Luck, which closed earlier this year, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.
Derby Dogs serves elevated 6-inch hot dogs, including meat and plant-based options, along with burgers, sandwiches, salads and shareable appetizers.
While the restaurant awaits approval for its liquor license, it is currently offering mocktails. Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, closed on Mondays.
The 3,000-square-foot space employs six staff and offers a Derby-themed menu, blending comfort food with vintage horse-racing décor.
