LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Have you heard the news? McDonald's is bringing back the chicken snack wrap after a five-year hiatus!
It's jumping back in just as the snack wrap battle heats up.
Chicken is big these days, and easy-to-hold chicken wraps are even bigger. Wendy's, Burger King, and other restaurants feature a chicken wrap on their menu, so McDonald's decided to bring back its discontinued chicken wrap after years of complaints of it being gone.
Starting July 10, McDonald's will offer new snack wraps, featuring an all white-meat chicken strip, in either a spicy or ranch flavor.
It's such an anticipated announcement that even Popeye's has jumped in, launching its own chicken wrap this month and throwing shade on social media saying its wrap will be available first.
McDonald's isn't saying yet what its new wraps will cost, but with Popeye's clocking in at $3.99 and Wendy's wrap over $5.00, you can guess that McDonald's is not bringing back the old .99 cent price anytime soon.
Still, for fans longing for the McDonald's wrap since the pre-pandemic days, any price will be worth it.
