LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A hookah lounge on Bardstown Road has closed temporarily after city officials discovered the business license had expired, according to Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg.

Friend's Hookah Lounge is located at 1043 Bardstown Road in the Cherokee Triangle neighborhood near the Highlands.

"Today inspectors from the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness made a site visit to Friend’s Hookah Lounge on Bardstown Road and determined the business was operating with an expired license," Greenberg posted on X.

Greenberg said the business has been ordered to remain closed until this issue is resolved.
