LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- We all like free things, but packages showing up at your door unexpectedly could be a sign of a scam.
A scam targeting Amazon customers is getting worse by sending people merchandise they didn't order.
In most cases, it's just a random package showing up on your doorstep. For one man, it's a lot worse!
He has received dozens of unexpected packages. As a disabled Veteran, it's hard to move the boxes out of the way.
Another woman received boxes as small as a pen to as large as a child's scooter.
The scam is being called the "brushing" scam.
"Brushing" is often called a victimless crime because the thieves aren't stealing anything from you, they're actually doing the contrary.
The Better Business Bureau says you should still be concerned - because if it got to your house, how did they get your address?
If you're a victim of "Brushing," contact the retailer and let them know what you were sent. Change your password for the site, and make sure to enable two-factor authentication.
