LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Nearly a decade after Buffalo Wild Wings closed one of its locations on Bardstown Road, the business is set to hold a grand opening for its newest concept near Baxter Avenue this weekend.

Louisville's second Buffalo Wild Wings GO restaurant will open at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at 978 Baxter Avenue with a special promotion: the first 50 customers in line when the doors open will receive free chicken wings for a year.

The first Buffalo Wild Wings GO opened in September near the University of Louisville campus.

The original Buffalo Wild Wings on Bardstown Road closed in November 2018. Now Buffalo Wild Wings GO will offer customers convenience and speed at its new eatery in the Highlands, according to a news release.

The "GO" concept officially launched in 2020, giving customers the flexibility to order online, in the app, or in person. The menu will feature favorites like traditional and boneless wings, all 27 Buffalo Wild Wings signature sauces and dry rubs, and hand-smashed burgers.

The Highlands location will also be open late to satisfy after-hours cravings, according to the release.

The restaurant has 22 crew employees. It will be open every day from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
