LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville is ending 2024 being recognized nationwide as a top travel destination for its food and much more.

Louisville Tourism compiled a list of how "Bourbon City" is making its mark including being named to Travel + Leisure's list of "50 Best Places to Travel to in 2024."

Both Trip Advisor and Airbnb marked Louisville as a top trending destination in the U.S., and Butchertown was listed as one of the most up-and-coming neighborhoods in the U.S. by Travel Mag.

USA Today named Barn8 and Nami as 2024 restaurants of the year, and the NuLu neighborhood earned recognition from AFAR magazine as one of the "Best Food Neighborhoods in the USA," with numerous restaurants getting mentions.

Several of Louisville's beer and bourbon festivals were also recognized nationally. Bourbon & Beyond music festival was highlighted in Garden & Gun magazine and the Tailspin Ale Fest was on the USA Today's 10 Best "Beer Festivals in the U.S."
