LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Ford plans to temporarily lay off over 1,500 workers at the Louisville Assembly Plant.
According to UAW Local 862 President Todd Dunn, the layoffs will impact 1,600 workers at the plant out of about 3,500 total employees.
Dunn said the move is due to parts-related issues and should only last less than a couple of weeks.
This comes less than 10 days after the UAW strike against Ford ended when a tentative agreement was reached on Oct. 25.
