LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — One of Louisville's highest skyscraper may have a new owner soon, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.

A Jefferson County Circuit Court judge approved the $4.5 million proposed sale of the 26-story Meidinger Tower at 462 S. Fourth Street to Indianapolis-based real estate firm KennMarr.

The sale comes two years after the went into foreclosure after the owners defaulted on a $28 million mortgage.

It's unknown if the deal to sell Meidinger Tower officially closed as a deed was not yet filed with the Jefferson County Clerk's Office, LBF reports.

If the sale goes through, this would be the second purchase along Fourth Street for KennMarr.

The firm bought the 26-story 401 S. Fourth Street Tower — formerly the Brown & Williamson Tower —  in April 2023 for $9 million. Since then, the tower lost major tenants, including Fifth Third Bank.

Built in 1983, the Meidinger Tower is the sixth-largest office building in Louisville, with more than 330,000 square feet of leasable space.
