Louisville business owners launch Barret Avenue Business Association to promote growing corridor

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Some Louisville business owners came together to promote the Barret Avenue Corridor.

The newly-formed Barret Avenue Business Association was set up to support and promote businesses along one of Louisville's most unique areas.

The group said the goal is "community and commerce."

"Barret Avenue is a vibrant business corridor, thanks to the creativity and passion of its businesses," said Councilperson Ben Reno-Weber, D-8, in a news release. "This association will give business owners an even stronger voice to promote the area, support one another, and continue building Barret Avenue as a destination for shopping, dining, and unique local experiences."

Barret Avenue is home to several retail shops, vintage stores, artists and more between the Highlands and Germantown neighborhoods.

The board includes representatives from Better Days Records, The Nitty Gritty, Barret Babes Communal Store, Grady Goods and Froggy's Popcorn.
