LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville business that focuses on sustainability now has it's first official storefront.
The Anchal Project opened it's doors on South Shelby Street in Shelby Park. The new storefront will showcase artisan-made goods, apparel, accessories and holiday décor.
Louisville sisters Colleen and Maggie Clines created the brand 13 years ago. It's a non-profit social enterprise that aims to create sustainable careers in textiles for marginalized women overseas.
"We both have a background in architecture and design and just felt really passionate after a trip to India to use that passion for design for something positive and good," the sisters said.
Anchal items have been sold in stores around the country including Anthropologie, West Elm, and Nordstrom.
