LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A new Filipino restaurant will open in the former Come Back Inn in Germantown.

Maynila is set to open this spring at 909 Swan Street, as reported by our partners at Louisville Business First.

The restaurant is being launched by Emil David, owner of the Shelby Park restaurant Perso and the Hot Buns food truck. He is also heads operations at Ciao Ristorante in Irish Hill.

David said he plans to keep the Come Back Inn bar, which is reportedly one of the oldest in Louisville.

The Come Back Inn, a beloved Italian-American pub, closed abruptly in October 2023 after 20 years in business.
