LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new flexible child care option is coming to Louisville in September.

Skidaddles, located in NuLu, will be child care reimagined, giving families the option of drop-in child care and extended hours. The center has three other locations across Kentucky and Ohio and helps parents with a hybrid work schedule, parents who need to run errands or parents who need a date night.

It's open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and open until 9 p.m. Fridays. The center will also be open from 5-10 p.m. Saturday once a month.

The idea came about because Tiffany Lewis had a part-time job with three daughters and couldn't find child care that worked with her schedule.

"Not only the drop-in and the flexible aspect, which is just new to the area, but a premium child care where you feel comfortable bringing your kids, dropping them off whether it's so you can be comfortable at work or spend a date night with your spouse or partner that's what we're really trying to do with Skidaddles in Louisville," says Lewis.

Skidaddles accepts kids as early as 3 months old up to 10 years old. Prices depend on if parents want to buy a certain number of hours monthly, drop off within the hour or want a traditional Monday-Friday child care schedule.

"The importance of quality child care is what every city needs, and that's what we're bringing here with Skidaddles coming," Lewis said.

Skidaddles is scheduled to open Sept. 22. For details on pricing, hours and how to enroll, click here.
