LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Norton Healthcare is expanding its services in South Louisville.
Norton unveiled a new $2.2 million location at 10798 Dixie Highway off the Gene Snyder Freeway in Valley Station. The office includes roughly 6,000 square feet of space. It will include 14 exam rooms split among Norton Community Medical Associates primary care, Immediate Care Center and eventually, a Norton Orthopedic Institute office.
In a written statement, Norton Healthcare president and CEO Russell Cox said the new location will also have laboratory testing and X-ray capability. "We certainly have had a concentration at the other end of Dixie Highway. We're now looking at this end of Dixie Highway for how do we increase access? How do we remove barriers for people to get the care that they need? We feel like its a great step toward providing the access that's needed here."
The new location also provides access to care for people just outside the city limits, including parts of Meade and Hardin counties.
