LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Publix now has plans to open 12 locations in Kentucky, and one of those is coming to Hardin County.
A company spokesperson confirmed Tuesday that a new Publix location is planned at Pear Orchard Road and Ring Road in Elizabethtown. A timeline for its opening hasn't been determined.
Publix has one Louisville location that opened earlier this year with two more already under construction:Â
- 100 Flat Rock Road
- 10005 Ballardsville Road
Publix has more than 1,300 stores in eight states, but its first Louisville store is the largest employee-owned store in the U.S.Â
The other eight locations planned in Kentucky include three in Lexington, one in Owensboro and four in northern Kentucky.
