LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The poster for the St. James Court Art Show was revealed on Tuesday.

The 68th annual St. James Court Art Show will be held from Oct. 4-6. More than 250,000 people are expected to visit Old Louisville for the art festival.

According to a news release, the art show partnered with the Kentucky College of Art + Design to produce the official poster. Artist Jada Lynn Dixon tried to capture the essence of the event and the profound impact art can have on a person.

The poster features the iconic court fountain, a triumphant woman in St. James Court through flowing strokes of watercolor.

"The basis of it is watercolor design," Dixon said. "The pallet I chose is one I frequently use. I like to choose soothing colors and also I like to use strong figurative imagery. The statue was perfect for this."

Admission is free for the show.
