LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Southern Indiana has a new bowling venue that mixes tradition with something new.
Vintage Lanes is now open in Madison, Indiana.
The opening comes nearly eight years after a tornado destroyed the city's only bowling alley.
A former rundown hotel has now been turned into a two-floor, eight-lane duckpin bowling alley, with an upscale wine bar.
Matt Chandler and his husband opened The Chandler Hotel in Madison two years ago. Based on its success, they wasted no time in their next venture.
"If you've been to any duckpin bowling center in our region, you'll notice they are always in historic buildings," Chandler said. "So it's an easy fit to find a place to do this in Madison."
Vintage Lanes is located on Jefferson Street in downtown Madison.
