LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The city of Prospect wanted to bring some color to the area during winter months.
The city in eastern Jefferson County and Oldham County held a closing ceremony for its first art exhibit on Sunday. For the last two months, art was displayed throughout city from local artists.
The exhibit focused on showcasing local talent. Art experts also gave presentations and led discussions on the project, which will rotate three times a year.
"Everyone is visiting, they are meeting new people, they are talking to people that are already their friends and these sorts of events," Prospect Mayor Doug Farnsley said. "Our parks, and other events sort of weaves the community together."
More art exhibitions for the city are planned for June and another in the fall.
