LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A southern Indiana county is taking steps to make sure residents are safe when severe weather hits.
Clark County Emergency Management Agency is launching its new "Hear the storm, stay informed" program. Residents will be able to receive free weather radios throughout the month of March.
The goal is to enhance community safety and preparedness ahead of the spring storm season. A person must be a Clark County resident to receive a free weather radio. Batteries will be provided.
The first giveaway will be March 1 from 2-4 p.m. at Utica Town Hall in Jeffersonville.
