LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The amazing transformation of a historic Corvette has been captured through time-lapse pictures.

The one-millionth Corvette, built in 1992, was one of eight cars swallowed by a giant sinkhole at the National Corvette Museum in February 2014.

Restorers went to work taking the car apart and rebuilding it in late April. The restored Corvette was unveiled at a ceremony at the museum yesterday.

"Car and Driver" estimated the one-millionth Corvette's worth at about $750,000.
