LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man is dead and another was hospitalized in a double shooting near Louisville's Auburndale neighborhood Friday night.
Louisville Metro Police officers responded to the 7300 block of Southside Drive at 8:39 p.m. on a reported shooting, department spokesperson John Bradley said in a statement. The scene is near Auburndale Park and Palatka Road, just south of Iroquois Park.
Once on scene, officers found two men who had been shot. Bradley said both were transported to University of Louisville Hospital, where one died from his injuries. The other remains hospitalized, but is expected to survive.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating. Bradley said investigators believe "all parties to this incident are accounted for," but did not elaborate on whether or not there were any arrests or charges filed.
