LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a young man was shot and killed near Shelby Park Thursday night.

Officers were called to South Jackson and Camp streets just before 9 p.m. on a reported shooting, department spokesperson John Bradley said in a press briefing at the scene.

Once on scene, officers found a "young man" who had been shot multiple times. Bradley said despite life-saving efforts, he died at the scene.

LMPD's Homicide Unit is handling the investigation, but has no suspect information and has made no arrests.
