LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One person is dead and another has been hospitalized after a shooting on Dixie Highway near Valley Station Thursday afternoon.
Dwight Mitchell, a spokesman for Louisville Metro Police, said officers responded to a reported shooting in the 9900 block of Dixie Highway just before 1:30 p.m.Â
Police found a man who had been shot, and he was taken to UofL Hospital. In an update at about 6 p.m., Mitchell said the man died.
According to LMPD, a woman was brought to Southwest Hospital with a gunshot wound that appears to be related to the shooting.
Police said she was taken to UofL Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to LMPD, there are no known suspects at this time.
