LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A person was fatally shot in Louisville's Portland neighborhood Thursday evening.
John Bradley, a spokesman for Louisville Metro Police, said officers responded to the 600 block of North 23rd Street shortly before 6 p.m. on a "person shot and down."
Officers found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds and he was pronounced deceased on the scene. Police initially said the victim was believed to be a juvenile male, but later said he could be a young adult.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating.
