LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 16-year-old girl was dropped off at Mary and Elizabeth Hospital late Tuesday evening with a gunshot wound.
Officers responded to the hospital at 1850 Bluegrass Avenue after the teen was brought in around 9:45 p.m., according to a news release from Louisville Metro Police. The vehicle the victim arrived in left the scene before police got there.
The teen was taken to UofL Hospital, and is expected to survive her injury, according to the release.
Investigators have determined that the shooting happened near Cane Run Road and Shanks Lane.
