LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Two southern Indiana women are behind bars after a traffic stop yielded several grams of meth.
An Indiana State Police trooper made a traffic stop on Sunday around 7 p.m. on Interstate 65 South in Clark County after he saw a green Ford Ranger fail to signal several lane changes, ISP Sgt. Carey Huls said in a news release.
During the traffic stop, the trooper observed "potential criminal activity" from the occupants in the car. A canine, Atlas, was brought in to search the car, and alerted to possible drugs.
A search of the car found 32 grams of meth and more than "100 various controlled prescription pills."
The driver, 63-year-old Sharon L. McClain of Jeffersonville, and passenger, 48-year-old Tara G. Edwards, of Clarksville, were taken to Clark County Jail.Â
