LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Frankfort man is facing arson charges after police said he intentionally set his home on fire while his children were inside.
Dustin Fields, 43, was charged with first degree arson after police said he set fire to his home in the 5800 block of Flat Creek Road on April 30. His two teenage sons were in the home at the time.
According to his arrest citation, Fields used accelerants to set the fire "knowing that the home was occupied by his two juvenile sons."
Tuesday, the Franklin County Coroner's Office identified the boys as Bently Fields, 13, and Rylan Fields, 15.
The case is still being investigated by Franklin County Sheriff's Office and Franklin County Coroner's Office.
Dustin Fields is being held in the Franklin County Jail on a $2 million full cash bond.
