LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Two people were killed after a shooting Thursday night in Louisville's Smoketown neighborhood.

According to Louisville Metro Police, officers were called around 8:50 p.m. to the 500 block of East Jacob Street on a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man and a woman outside who had been shot.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The man was taken to UofL Hospital, and police said at the time his condition was unknown. In an update on Friday morning, police said he had died from his injuries.

No suspects have been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
