LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Dollar Tree in La Grange.
According to court documents, Lamychael Hobbs entered the Dollar Tree at 4 p.m. Wednesday and used force and the threat of deadly force.
Hobbs pushed the cashier against a wall at gun point and stole $273 in cash before stealing some items from the store and driving away in a maroon SUV with temporary plates.
Court documents say a La Grange Police Department officer saw the vehicle attempting to get on Interstate 71 and attempted to stop it.
Hobbs then fled from multiple police and sheriff units before wrecking out at the Interstate 71 SB 17 on ramp. Hobbs fled from the vehicle and hid his jacket with a handgun inside underneath the deck of a nearby home.
Court documents say Hobbs "manifested extreme indifference to the lives of OCPD, OCSO, and LPD officers while driving on the interstate and back roads."
He was eventually arrested and initially charged with robbery, wanton endangerment, possession of handgun by convicted felon, fleeing or evading police, leaving scene of accident-failure to render aid and tampering with physical evidence.
His cash bond was set at $200,000. Hobbs has a long history of charges dating back to 2011, which include shoplifting, burglary, robbery and strangulation.
According to court documents, Anthony Kimberly was in the passengers seat of the vehicle and post Miranda he said he got into the vehicle in Louisville and rode with Hobbs to Oldham County.
Kimberly has been initially charged with robbery and his cash bond was set at $100,000.
