LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 21-year-old man was arrested after a shooting at a Louisville student apartment complex, according to court documents.
University of Louisville Police responded to a loud party at the Retreat, near UofL's Belknap campus, around 1 a.m. on Saturday. Police heard gunshots after the party had been broken up.
According to court documents, one male was shot in the abdomen and taken to UofL Hospital.
After the shooting, police went to a gas station at 7th Street and Algonquin Parkway in search of a suspect. Police found Marwan Frouh, who was bleeding from the hand and carrying a gun with a magazine missing, at the gas station.
Police found a magazine near the area of the shooting that matched the gun carried by Frouh, according to an arrest citation.
Frouh was interviewed by police and told officers he was being chased by four people when he shot someone. According to police, Ring Door bell video showed the victim being shot and nobody chasing anyone after the shooting.
Frouh was charged with assault and is being held on a $500,000 cash bond. He will be arraigned on Monday.
