LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- LMPD homicide detectives are investigating after a man was found shot to death in downtown Louisville Saturday morning.
It happened around 7 a.m. in the 500 block of S. Fourth Street, according to a news release from Louisville Metro Police. That's where officers from the First Division responding to reports of a shooting found a man with a gunshot wound.
The man was taken to UofL Hospital for treatment but died from his injuries.
A short time later, police said a woman showed up at UofL Hospital "with a seemingly non life-threatening gunshot wound." She was listed in stable condition.
Investigators determined she was a second victim from the fatal shooting on S. Fourth Street.

The double shooting was the second fatal shooting reported Saturday morning. A woman was killed and a man was critically injured in another shooting at about the same time in the 3300 block of Noe Way.
