LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman is dead and a man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a double shooting in Louisville's Bon Air's neighborhood early Saturday morning.
It happened around 7 a.m., according to a news release from Louisville Metro Police spokesperson John Bradley. That's when officers from the Sixth Division officers were sent to a residence in the 3300 block of Noe Way on a report of at least one person down.
When officers arrived, they found a man and woman with gunshot wounds. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman was later identified by the Jefferson County Coroner's Office as 21-year-old Daryasia Wingo.
The man was taken to UofL Hospital "with a critical life-threatening gunshot wound," according to the release.
The LMPD Homicide is investigating, but police "believe all parties to this incident are accounted for."
The double shooting was the second fatal shooting reported Saturday morning. A man was killed and a woman was injured in another shooting at about the same time in the 500 Block of S. Fourth Street.
