LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was shot in the Bon Air neighborhood on Saturday afternoon, according to Louisville Metro Police.
LMPD Sgt. Matt Sanders said police responded to a shooting near Del Rio Place and Commander Drive, near Farnsley Park, around 1:30 p.m. When police arrived on a scene, they found a man on the ground who had been shot in the chest.
He was taken to University of Louisville Hospital. Sanders said doctors at the hospital advised the man's internal injuries are severe, but he is expected to survive.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Squad is investigating the incident and interviewing witnesses.
