LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Three men were arrested Tuesday after a large drug bust in Old Louisville.

Multiple divisions with the Louisville Metro Police Department, along with SWAT, executed a search warrant in the 1400 block of South Floyd Street and found firearms, ammunition, a large amount of marijuana, methamphetamine and money.

According to court documents, the three men refused to exit the residence despite being given announcements by officers. SWAT then breached the door, but they continued to refuse to leave.

They were arrested once SWAT officers made entry.

Multiple divisions with the Louisville Metro Police Department, along with SWAT, executed a search warrant in the 1400 block of South Floyd Street and found firearms, ammunition, a large amount of marijuana, methamphetamine and money.

The three men arrested were 19-year-old Malachi Dailey, 22-year-old Antwan Dailey and 19-year-old Joshua Studdard. They all appeared in court Wednesday and pleaded not guilty. A $10,000 cash bond was set for each of them.

K-9 officers used drug dogs to search the home and found a large amount of drugs hidden inside. Police said they believe the men tampered with evidence when they refused to leave.

The three men have been initially charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (fentanyl), trafficking in marijuana, trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin), trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine), tampering with physical evidence, delivery/manufacture of drug paraphernalia and engaging in organized crime.

According to court documents, the search of the residence found:

  • A large amount of marijuana (individually packaged and ready for sale) inside a floor vent within a backpack.
  • A small amount of suspected crack cocaine inside a pill bottle.
  • A large quantity of money.
  • An AK-style pistol inside an upstairs closet.
  • A Canik TP9 handgun inside an upstairs closet.
  • A Smith & Wesson SD 40 handgun inside an upstairs closet.
  • Scales, marijuana grinders and sandwich bags.

Police said it’s unclear if the guns found or the suspects were connected to the shooting that took place in the 1400 block of South Floyd Street on Sunday morning. Two men were shot at a large party and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Wednesday there was also a chaotic scene at the home. Two men were face-to-face in screaming match that spiraled into profanity and threats.

Police responded to the home after the heated exchange but the man making threats had left the scene.
