LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 35-year-old man was arrested Monday and charged with the murder of a woman last month.
Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Aaron Ellis said Marcelino Yande Fonseca Martinez is charged with murder (domestic violence).
On July 30, officers were called to the 200 block of Huntington Park Drive, off Poplar Level Road, to find a woman suffering from multiple stab wound inside a residence.
Officers rendered First Aid on scene, and the woman was taken by EMS to UofL Hospital with "critical and life-threatening" injuries.
LMPD said she died later that afternoon.
According to his arrest citation, Fonseca Martinez was arrested in the same apartment complex where the murder allegedly occurred.
