LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville man has been arrested and charged with murder after a shooting in Newburg, according to police.
Louisville Metro Police said 46-year-old Kapongo Job Badibanga was arrested Monday on arrest warrant in connection to a shooting on April 30.
Last Wednesday, LMPD responded to a "person down" in the 5000 block of Poplar Level Road about 9:45 p.m. That's not far from E. Indian Trail.
According to his arrest citation, Badibanga and another man, Joshua Mulinda, had an "altercation" inside The Louisville Liquor Palace, which continued outside in the parking lot. Police said Badibanga pulled out a gun and shot Mulinda four times and fled. EMS pronounced Mulinda dead at the scene.
Police talked to witnesses and reviewed surveillance footage of Badibanga at the scene.
He is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $500,000 bond, and is scheduled to be in court Tuesday morning.
