James Belle, arrested for reckless homicide.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two months after a man was shot and killed inside a Louisville apartment, an arrest has been made in his murder.

According to an arrest citation, James Belle is charged with reckless homicide in the death of Mitchale Groves.

Officers with the Louisville Metro Police Department's Sixth Division were called to a reported shooting around 4 a.m. Sept. 6 in the 5500 block of Lodema Way. That's near Newburg.

Once on scene, they found Groves shot inside an apartment. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said everyone involved in the incident was accounted for at the time.

The case has been handled by LMPD’s Homicide Unit, which filed the new charge this week.
