LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Authorities have released the name of a man who was shot and killed near Fourth Street Live! Sunday afternoon.Â
The Jefferson County coroner's office has identified the victim as 38-year-old Chad Smith Sr.
Louisville Metro Police spokesperson John Bradley said officers responded to the shooting in the 300 block of South 4th Street just before 4 p.m. This was near the Chipotle restaurant.
Smith was shot multiple times and died at the scene.Â
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating, but there are no known suspects at this time. Police encourage anyone with information to call the crime tip line at 502-574-LMPD (5673). A tip portal is also available online by clicking here.
