LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 41-year-old Bardstown man was arrested on drug charges Monday night, according to police.
A Nelson County Sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop on Louisville Road and Allender Lane for traffic infractions around 11:42 p.m. Police said Ramie Palmerton refused to leave the vehicle and started to resist.
Palmerton was tasered by police. A K9 provided positive indication that the odor of narcotics was coming from the vehicle Palmerton was in, according to police. Police found narcotics in an ensuing search.
Palmerton was charged with careless driving, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance, among other charges. He was taken to Nelson County Correctional Center.
